The data used to construct the 2000 CDC Growth Charts were nationally representative and obtained from 5 national survey datasets ( Kuczmarski et al., 2000). Smoothed percentile curves and corresponding z-scores to help plot and track the growth of children and teens (often the 5th, 10th, 25th, 50th, 75th, 90th, and 95th percentiles).Stature-for-age and weight-for-age charts for children and teens aged 2 to 20 years.BMI-for-age charts for children and teens aged 2 to 20 years.Z-scores have direct relationships with percentiles for every z-score there is a corresponding percentile. A z-score is a statistical measure indicating how far a given measure is from the mean (or average).
